I had the pleasure of being Edel's coworker when I first became a school counselor at Bridgewater-Raritan High School in Septemberof 2001. Edel was always the consummate professional. She was kind and helpful and taught me a lot when I first became a counselor. I enjoyed her friendship. One of my favorite memories is when she invited many members of the department to her beach home in Loveladies in Long Beach Island. At the time I had a three-year-old son and identical twin one-year-old sons who came to her house as well with me and my wife and my colleagues. Edel was a gracious host that day, in line with the generous, kind, and friendly person I knew her to be every day I worked with her. I will miss her greatly; however, a part of her still affects students today since some of the positive things I do when interacting with my students I learned from her.
May you rest in peace, Edel.
Love Always,
Steve

Edel and I grew up together on Smith St. in Irvington. We commuted daily to college together and taught in the Bridgewater-Raritan school system. We have remained good friends throughout these many years.
Edel was truly a person to be admired. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Her wonderful husband Pete, children, grandchildren and siblings were the highlight of her life. She felt blessed to have the life she had. Even when she was battling cancer she was very accepting, realistic and positive. Edel was truly a special person with wholesome priorities and love of life. .
I feel blessed to have had Edel as a good friend and I will always remember and miss her. God speed!

Edel and I worked together at Bridgewater-Raritan High School. We shared professional and social interests for many years. I considered her a dear friend. I will miss her tenacity, her sense of gratitude, and courage. Edel was gracious to everybody and we enjoyed traveling and visiting with them as a couple. We will never forget our ski trips and wonderful times
In Vermont. It is with great sorrow I say good bye to our friend and feel privileged to have known her so long.
