Obituary of Josephine C. Marple
Josephine C. Marple passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. She was 90 years old.
Born on November 17th 1928 to the late Peter Cipparulo and Louise Fantina Cipparulo in Bernardsville, New Jersey, Josephine moved to Gladstone in 1947 and was a resident for over 70 years. She was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Brigid Church.
She was a bookkeeper for Abestone Corporation in Millington, NJ and later a postal employee at the Far Hills, NJ Post Office.
Josephine was very involved in her community and spent her time as a Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Happy Rockers Club, as well as a member of the senior group at St. Joachim and St. Ann Society. She enjoyed attending Bible Study/Book Club at St. Brigid, gardening and vacationing with her family.
Josephine was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Marvin Marple, and her brothers Alex and Peter Cipparulo. She is survived by her daughters Cynthia (William) Behrens, Kathleen (Edward) Kocot, and Jo Ann Marple, her sisters Rosalie Pigna, Sandra Swift, and Barbara Meehan, grandchildren Melissa (Anthony) Lipovsky, Cheryl (John) Ardovinni, Timothy (Faith) and Kevin (Carolyn) Kocot, and great grandchildren Everett, Jake, Alessandra, and Eli.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, from 3-7 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St, Peapack NJ 07977 www.baileyfunersl.com. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, April 23, at 10 AM at St. Brigid Church, 129 Main St, Peapack NJ 07977. In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephine’s name can be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
