Obituary of Maude Emerson

Maude Emerson died peacefully on May 21, 2011 at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. She was 97. Mrs. Emerson lived in Garden City, New York for sixty years where she was an active member of the Community Club of Garden City and a volunteer at Winthrop University Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Victor H. Emerson. Mrs. Emerson will be missed by her son Victor H. Emerson, Jr. of Westport, Connecticut, her daughter Suzanne M. DiSabato of Mendham, New Jersey, her grandsons Joseph, David, Andrew and Scott, her great-grandchildren Sophia, Cooper, Alexa and Milo, and by all who knew her. She was wonderfully kind, quick witted and a loving teacher to her beloved family. Her breadth of interest and the experiences she shared were amazing to everyone she touched. Visitation will be held May 28 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham, New Jersey. Funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Mendham.
