Such a deep loss. This photo is quintessential Donna, facing the world with her beautiful smile and her bare feet, spatula in hand, beloved dog always at her side. Donna was comfortable, kind and creative. She was a true and generous friend. We shared early morning walks and late evening strolls, always talking, always laughing, always with our dogs in tow. Gone far too soon, my red-haired friend. You will always be remembered.

Donna was the first person that I met in Montgomery Woods, nineteen years ago, and I continue to have a vivid picture of her walking her angel, Luke, and, then, Buddy. I appreciated her straightforward demeanor and am awed by her tenacity and grace in facing her illness. Our neighborhood will never forget Donna, and we all wish her eternal peace. Surely, she is with Luke and, someday, she will be with Buddy.

Donna and I met and quickly became friends through the modeling industry in 1978. Over the course of 40 years we had many fun and special times - often daily as we lived in the same apartment building as young single girls. Donna was also a bridesmaid for Tom and me. We stayed close through moves to other towns and then Tom and I moved out west. Unfortunately, we were out of touch in recent years but were just starting to reconnect again. I am so sad to have lost my good friend. May you rest in peace Donna. Tom and I offer sincere condolences to the Smalley family for the loss of Donna and the loss of her Mom, Jane, so recently as well.

First off I want to say how very sorry I am to all of you for the loss of your sister, daughter, aunt & friend.
I met Donna when she was maybe 19 as she modeled for my mom. Very quickly she became the older sister I never had. Not only did she babysit my sister and I
(so we didn't kill one another as teenagers could) but she was at every Christmas party my parents ever through and various other celebrations.
After a few decades as a talent, she became a sales rep for my dad. If they were sitting in the back yard (of course she with a glass of wine in hand and my dad a scotch) they were off limits. They were "talking business".
Donna & I had a lot in common. We shared the sad bond of never having had children so we both sought light and love from family and friends.
She never forgot a birthday or Christmas card.
Loving, always laughing, kind, and full of wisdom.
I will miss her terribly and cherish all the wonderful memories I was so fortunate to have with her.
I hope you all find peace knowing she is no longer in pain. In all likelihood playing with a bunch of dogs in heaven.
Love, Stacy

I’m so sorry for your loss. Donna will be missed. What has helped me in times like these is Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” I hope this will comfort you as it has me. If you need anyone to talk to, feel free to reach out to me.

It is with a very heavy heart that I learned that we had lost Donna. She was a classmate of mine from West Morris Cental, class of 1976...we lost track of each other after graduation but were able to reconnect several years ago. I will cherish our conversations about life and all it's challenges as we watched our parents health decline and/or their mortality...we didn't discuss ours but we understood each other.
Rest in Peace sweet Donna...see ya on the other side!!!
