Obituary of Gwyndolyn Harvey

Gwendolyn Harvey passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 20, 2018. She was 80 years old.

She  was  born in Bordentown, NJ,  to parents Howard and Maude (nee Bair) Johnson.  Gwyn lived in both Mendham and Morristown before settling in Chester, which has been her home for more than 50 years. She worked alongside her son as the office manager of William’s landscaping company in Chester, LBD Landscaping LLC, and was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Gwyn will be remembered for her expansive Christmas Village, her love for feeding the birds and deer in her backyard, painting, and her delicious Sunday morning breakfasts.

Gwyn was predeceased by her loving husband, William Harvey Sr., and is survived by her son William Jr. (Mary), daughter Sheri (Jay), grandchildren Megan, Steven, and Marissa  and her beloved poodle Rocky.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 23, from 3-6 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd, Mendham, NJ.  A funeral service will be held at the Bailey Funeral Home on Monday, September 24 at 11 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gwyn’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
