Obituary of Gloria Gluck

Gloria Gluck passed away peacefully on September 7, 2018 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Center for Hope Hospice in Newton.  She was 70.

Born in Somerville NJ to Edward and Isabel (nee Donnelly) Ferguson.  She moved to Elizabeth and graduated from Mother Seton Regional High School, Clark, NJ and W.R. Grace Institute, New York City, NY.  She then lived in Edison before moving to Mendham in 1976.

Gloria worked at Hammacher Schlemmer and Abercrombie and Fitch in NY, NY for many years.  She also worked at Bantam in Mendham as a buyer and most recently she worked at Kings for the last 24 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Mendham and St. Luke’s Parish in Long Valley.

Her family will remember Gloria as a good and caring soul who always stayed positive and was kind to all who crossed her path.  She always treated people the way she wished to be treated. 

She is survived by her husband Robert Gluck of Mendham, four daughters; Kristin Hoffman (Robert) of Windsor, CT, Carey Anne Bomensatt (Kenneth) of Sparta, Caitlin Gluck of Mendham and Courtney Buxton (Brooks) of Long Valley, two brothers Edward Ferguson (Renee) of Fredon, NJ, and Michael Ferguson (Joann) of Little Silver, NJ.  She is also survived by one sister Mary Ellen Ferguson of Morristown and her cherished grandchildren Michael Becke, Jonathan, Christopher & Kenneth Bomensatt, Grace Hoffman and Broderick Buxton; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday Sept. 13 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd, Mendham.  Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11am at St. Luke’s Parish, 265 West Mill Rd. Long Valley. For those desiring, donations to St. Luke Parish Long Valley in her memory would be appreciated.
