Obituary of Anna Lee Bjorkedal

Anna Lee Bjorkedal passed peacefully in her loving parents’ arms on July 31, 2018. She was one year old.

Anna was born in Morristown, New Jersey, to parents Jessica Bongiorno and Nikolai Bjorkedal. With her giant smile and shining eyes, she brought a spark of joy to all who met her; she enjoyed nothing more than playing with her sisters, participating in music class, clapping for her own accomplishments, petting her pups and cuddling with mom and dad. Her beautiful blonde hair, vibrant blue eyes, and contagious giggle will never be forgotten.

Anna is survived by her parents, sisters Mia Rose and Maren Jae, maternal grandparents Andrew and Donna Bongiorno, paternal grandmother Tamara Bjorkedal, godparents Arika Bjorkedal and William DeRicco, loving babysitter Patricia Pereira, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and doting doggies, Harper and Ava.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 3, at 11:00, at the Church of Christ the King, 16 Blue Mill Road, New Vernon, NJ 07976. An entombment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, 61 Whippany Road, Morristown. The family would like to extend its gratitude to the nurses, doctors and all the staff at Goryeb, who cared for Anna and showed great compassion to us all.
