Obituary of Mary A McAvoy

Mary Alice McAvoy (Reardon), always known as May, 93, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2018.  May had lived in Mendham Borough for the last 16 years but was formerly was a long-time resident of Syosset, New York.  

Beloved wife of the late William Leonard McAvoy.  Devoted mother of Peter, his wife Vera; Mark, his wife Laura; her daughter Alice; Brian, his wife Cathy; and Justin and his wife Cristina.

Cherished grandmother of fourteen: Ian, Harrison and his wife Kelly, Meaghan, Conor, Luke, Andrew, Margeaux, Liam, Meredith, Max, Jack, Finn, Blaise and Millie. She was predeceased by her husband, her dear sister Natalie Reardon Seeke, and her brother in law Captain John H. Seeke. 

Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham.   Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10 am, St. Joseph Chapel in Mendham followed by burial at Mt. St Mary's Cemetery, Flushing, NY.
