Obituary of Rose Marie Nacarlo

FLANDERS - Rose Marie (Barbato) Nacarlo died on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover after a short illness. She was 89. Born in Brooklyn NY on June 2, 1921 to the late Gaetano and Concetta Barbato, she was a resident of Rockaway Township before moving to Flanders 44 years ago. Mrs. Nacarlo was employed by the Mennen company in East Hanover as a factory worker for many years before her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the Domincan Order, and a long-time member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R. C. Church in Flanders. Mrs. Nacarlo was the last survivor of sixteen siblings. She was predeceased by her husband, John Frank Nacarlo in 1979, two sons, Phillip in 1958 and Paul in 1973; and two daughters, Angela in 2009 and Patricia in 2010. She is survived by three sons; John J. of Oakhurst, Peter T. of Atlanta GA, and Steven of Hackettstown; one daughter Maria G. Nacarlo of Hopatcong; thirteen grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. And to quote this beautiful woman, "No Great Great Grandchildren yet, Thank God." A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R. C. Church, Main Street, Flanders at 10:00 AM on Thursday March 31, 2011. Please arrive at the church by 9:45 AM. Interment will be at Our Lady of the Mountain Cemetery in Washington Twp. following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are requested by the family to Meals on Wheels of Morris County, 29 Elm Street, Morristown, NJ 07960 or to Catholic Charities of the Paterson Diocese, 777 Valley Road, Clifton, NJ 07013.
