Obituary of Patrick N. McCrory

Patrick N. McCrory of Peapack-Gladstone, NJ, died suddenly at home on Feb. 15, 2011. He would have been 83 on April 4, 2011. Born in Manhattan and grew up in Peapack, NJ and has lived in Peapack Gladstone for the last 80 years. He was a 1946 graduate of Bernards High School and received his B.S. Degree from Seton Hall University in 1950. He worked for Peapack Gladstone Bank and also the Savings and Loan Assoc. in Far Hills during his early years. He later worked for the NJ Department of Transportation for 28 years in Parsippany as a Right of Way Appraiser. He retired in 1990. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during Korea from 1950 to 1952. He was a member of the American Legion Post #216 in Peapack, and the Peapack Gladstone First Aid Squad. He was a member of the Peapack Gladstone Fire Department for over 50 years. And also a member of Borough of Peapack-Gladstone Board of Adjustment for 30 years. Pat was an active member of St. Brigid and St. Elizabeth R.C. Church. His family will remember him as a loving husband who was kind, friendly and a gentleman. He was predeceased by his parents Patrick and Julia and his sister Elizabeth. Patrick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maureen Cooper McCrory, and a niece Debra Linton West. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St. Peapack. Funeral Mass Saturday 10am at St. Brigid Church, Peapack. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester.
