Obituary of Robert E. Mertz

Robert E. Mertz, Navy Veteran and Lifelong Basking Ridge resident died on Feb. 2, 2011. He was 88. Survivors include his wife Betty J. Mertz, three sons; David, Carl and Tyson Mertz. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Public visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-4pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St., Peapack. The funeral service and interment will be private in Somerset Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donation to a charity of your choice in his memory, would be appreciated.
