Obituary of Robin Marie Lawrie

MENDHAM - Robin Marie Lawrie died at Morristown Memorial Hospital on Saturday, September 25, 2010 peacefully after a long illness, with her family by her side. She was 44. Born in Morristown on 6-6-66 to Elliott and Jean (Vibbert) Lawrie, she was a resident of Mendham for 42 years. She was a graduate of Villanova University in 1988 and Seton Hall School of Law in 1991. She was an assistant prosecutor for the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office for over 16 years. She supervised municipal prosecutors and was the head of the domestic violence and Megan's Law units. Additionally, Robin was instrumental in establishing the internet crime unit. Robin loved to travel, especially her trips to Florida. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's R. C. Church in Mendham for many years. Robin was predeceased by her grandparents, Robert and Mildred Vibbert, and Harold and Jane Lawrie, and her aunt Sharon Freudenberg. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother Robert Lawrie and his wife Kimberly of Haddon Twp., two nephews Christian and Aidan Lawrie, cousins Jaclyn Neely and John Freudenberg Jr., her aunt and uncle John and Sue Freudenberg Sr., and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many good friends. Funeral services will be from the funeral home on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's R. C. Church, West Main Street, Mendham, NJ. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill Road, Chester, NJ immediately following Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are requested to Ginnie's House, 4 High Street, Newton, NJ 07860 or to Birth Haven, 6 Academy Street, Newton, NJ 07860. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
