Dear Chris,
We never met but I know how very much you were loved. How wonderful to have lived the wonderful life you did with so many loving family members. They will miss you so very much. I am a friend of your moms and I will remind her when she is saddest of how at peace and "free" you are from all pain and sadness. God bless you and all your loved ones.

Chris,
You are with your Father now, who I cared for very much. I know he was 'there' to greet you and is holding your hand and your heart.
You were so brave for so long and set new heights for so many, myself included.
You are a New Star in the night sky, and I will know where to look for you...right there, by the side of your Dad. With eternal affection, Audrey Mayer

My good thoughts, love, and many prayers for the entire Martin family today, tomorrow, and moving forward. I'm sorry to hear Chris has moved on but I truly believe he's in a MUCH better place. We all have an Angel on our shoulders. God bless, be well, and know that Jesus has Chris in His company in paradise.
Love, Kevin and Mary Ann Lynch and family (former MCI co-worker with Chris)

David Wells posted a condolence
With Chris' passing, I am saddened but also relieved that my old college roommate and buddy is now resting in piece. In the past, I recall reading obits and memorials that have said the deceased didn't have an enemy on earth, and thinking how amazing that must be. But with Chris, I know it's true - he was a friend to all as well as a devoted man who never complained once to me about the hand that he had been dealt. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jackie and Chris' family, that they may persevere.

I also lost my husband to ALS. Coincidentally, his name was Christopher John Lahoda, and he was 47. He worked for a company with the word Quest in it, like your Chris. My heart goes out to your family, and I hope you find the strength to live good lives and find happiness in memories. It's a tremendously hard road without your partner/father/ son, but ALS is heartless.
