I have many loving memories of my godmother, Mary McDermott. My earliest childhood memories of her are as a glamorous young lady dressed beautifully, wearing a gold charm bracelet. She and my Aunt Barbara (then Miss Barbara to us) worked in a bank and were loving Aunts and role models to my sisters Ellie and I. Aunt Mary used to comb my curls and spoil us dreadfully. We loved visiting her! As we grew up, we began to know the wonderful strong lady she really was. She will be in my heart and prayers always.
