Obituary of Elizabeth Inez Cangelosi

Elizabeth Inez Cangelosi (nee Gonzalez) died peacefully at her home in Basking Ridge on June 21, 2010. She was 87. Born in Newark, NJ, she lived in Union NJ before moving to Basking Ridge 18 years ago. Mrs. Cangelosi was a Homemaker and volunteer to several causes. Closest to her heart was the Paige Whitney Babies Center where she communicated with Spanish speaking recipients and crocheted endless blankets for the babies. Until her recent illness she served as a trustee for The Paige Whitney Scholarship Fund and also volunteered at the Morristown Homeless Shelter where she taught English as a second language. Her family and friends will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a kind and generous person to all that she touched. She is survived by her husband Joseph of Basking Ridge, one daughter Anita Williams McGuire and her husband James of Bernardsville, and one son Joseph Cangelosi and his wife Louise of Woodbridge, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer Reedman and her husband Derek of Greenbrook, NJ, Benjamin M. Williams of NY, NY, Stacy Cangelosi of Brooklyn, NY and her two great grandchildren Tyler and Emma Reedman. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St., Peapack. A celebration of her life will take place on Friday at 11am in the funeral home. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. NJ.
