Obituary of Irene Johnson

Irene Johnson Global Clinical Trials Director, Mendham Irene Johnson of Mendham died suddenly on June 14, 2010 at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Born in Queens, NY she was raised in Wayne, NJ. Irene received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Microbiology from Rutgers University in 1981 and her MBA from Boston College in 1994. She spent her entire career managing clinical trials for life-enhancing medical devices and pharmaceutical drugs. Irene worked on many successful trials including the first Left Ventricular Assist Device introduced by ThermoCardio Systems in 1992 and subsequent projects at Johnson & Johnson and Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother and daughter who laughed easily, screamed at horror movies, enjoyed traveling, and knew her way around the kitchen especially during holidays and special occasions. Irene is the daughter of Nickolai and Valentina Komrovsky of Wayne. Irene was preceded in death by her mother. Her remaining family includes her husband Raymond Johnson, two daughters Kelsey and Allie and her father Nickolai. Her brother Boris Komrovsky , his wife Cindy, Irene's niece Natalie and her nephew Alex all reside in Cleveland, OH. Friends and family are welcomed to visit Bailey Funeral Home (baileyfuneralhomes.com) at 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham, NJ on Thursday from 7-9pm and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Church, 6 West Main Street, Mendham. Interment will follow mass at Hilltop Cemetery, Hilltop Road, Mendham. A reception will be held for all following the services on Saturday.
