Obituary of Myrtle Gulick

Myrtle Bussiere Gulick of Gladstone, NJ, died at home on March 3, 2010 after a short Illness. Born in Newark, she was a product of the Newark Public Schools. Majoring in commercial studies, she frequently participated in stenography contests, an art which she kept until her death. Graduating from High School at the age of 16, she went to work as a legal secretary on Newark. When the law firm broke up, she became the private legal secretary for Ronald A. Gulick. Some years after that , they were married and she moved to Gladstone After Mr. Gulick's death in 1969, Myrtle worked for many years for Stryker, Tams & Dill in Newark and became the office manager of their office in Morristown when it opened. Later she became a paralegal/legal secretary for Nichols, Thomson, Peek and Phelan in Westfield, from which she retired in 2008 after 71 years of work in the legal field. She is survived by a nephew, James J. Bussiere, Sr., and his children Courtney and Jimmy, and by her niece Carol Bussiere, and her son Greyson. A graveside service will be held on Saturday March 6, 2010, at 11:30am at the Peapack Union Cemetery on Mendham Rd. in Gladstone. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation, 150 New Providence Rd., Mountainside, NJ, 07092, in her memory, would be appreciated.
