Obituary of Helen M. Anzalone

Helen Anzalone of Mendham passed away at home January 29 at the age of 84. Born February 2, 1925 in Jermyn, Pennsylvania to John and Helen Przybylski, she lived in Carbondale, Pennsylvania until moving to New Jersey in 1953 and was a resident of Mendham since 1963. Helen was preceded in death by her daughter Nancy, her parents, brothers Henry, John, Leo, and Thomas, and sister Ann Balinas. Helen, a devoted wife and mother, is survived by her husband Alfred of Mendham, children Susan of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Mark of Austin, Texas, and Linda O'Brien, son in law Patrick O'Brien, and grandchildren Samantha and Liam O'Brien all of Highland's Ranch, Colorado. She is also survived by a sister Irene Lesko, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She also had a lot of affection for her pets and her 'grand-cats'. Helen worked at Picatinny Arsenal prior to raising her children. She enjoyed over 15 years as a volunteer at Hilltop School in Mendham. She treasured those years as she loved working with children. She worked at the Kitchen Door in Mendham for several years. Helen was an active member of Saint Joseph's Parish in Mendham and a member of their senior's group. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. www.baileyfuneral.com Funeral Mass Wednesday at 10:30am at St. Joseph Church Mendham.
