Obituary of Margaret Mary Decker

Margaret Mary (Flynn) Decker, 85, of Mendham, NJ, passed away Tuesday, January 26, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicago, IL, "Marge" moved to East Orange, NJ following her marriage to Mark Decker, who predeceased her in 1975. Her first child, Therese Regina, died shortly after birth. She was blessed with 8 more children, the youngest of whom, Therese Jeanne Dowd, passed away in 2007. She is survived by 7 children and their spouses: Sharon Leight and husband Gil of Plano, TX; Eileen Morock of Newark Valley, NY and partner Elayne; Mark and wife Cele of Mendham, NJ; Kathy Kizmann and husband Paul of S. Toms River, NJ; Michael and wife Eileen of S. Pasadena, CA; James and wife Joanne of Bloomfield, NJ; Margi Higgins and husband Red of Perry, KS; and son-in-law Kevin Dowd of McKinney, TX. She was the loving grandmother of 20 and great-grandmother of 5. She was predeceased by her sister Terree Suska of Mendota, IL and is survived by her brother Edward Suska and his wife Joyce of Onarga, IL. Marge worked at Packard Motors while in Chicago, and at MGM Records in Bloomfield, NJ. She worked at Bamberger's in Newark, NJ for 18 years retiring in 1989. She was a devout Catholic, a woman of unwavering faith and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was loved by her many friends, especially at Knoxville Senior Housing in Corning, NY, where she lived for 10 years, and at Mendham Area Senior Housing in Mendham, NJ, where she lived for the past 10 years. The Decker family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Holly Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mendham, NJ for their loving care and attentiveness to Marge. She was an angel on earth who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be at Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd, Mendham, NJ on Sunday, January 31, from 2-6pm. www.baileyfuneral.com Funeral Monday 11am from the Bailey Funeral Home with a celebration of Marge's beautiful life at a funeral mass at Saint Joseph's RC Church, 6 W. Main Street in Mendham, NJ, on Monday February 1 at 12 noon.
