Obituary of Janet T Mills

Janet T. Mills died on Jan. 10, 2009, at her home in Mendham. She was 89. Born in Newark, She lived in Mendham Township for 42 years before moving to Mendham Borough in 1992. Mrs. Mills was active with the Washington Valley Twigs, a group that is part of the Morristown Memorial Hospital Women's Association. She was also active in the Brookside Garden Club and the Washington Valley Assoc. She was a volunteer at the Brookside Community Church and the Mendham Township Library. She was also a talented crafter who created many specially painted arts and crafts. Her family will remember her as loving, wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She was an avid skier, and tennis player and enjoyed international travel. Her husband John M. Mills, died in 1988. Survivors include her sons John M. Mills, III, (Deborah) of Brookside, Rodger T. Mills (Marjorie) of Lafayette, NJ, and Andrew S. Mills (Lynn) of Center Sandwich, NH; one sister Elizabeth Weir of Pittsburgh, PA and her 5 grandchildren, Amy Schweitzer, And Jennifer, Jessie, Timothy and Kathryn Mills. She is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Service Thursday 11am at the Brookside Community Church. Interment will be private in Mendham Hilltop Cemetery.
