Obituary of Marie E. Sisson

Mendham. She was 82. Born in Bound Brook, NJ, she was a 30 year resident of Brookside, NJ, and Molokai, Hawaii before moving to Mendham Borough 1998. She received her Bachelors Degree in 1949 from Georgian Court College. Mrs. Sisson worked as a School Teacher for the Westfield New Jersey Board of Education for many years before retiring in 1954. Mrs. Sisson was very active in the Georgian Court College Alumni Assoc. and was chairperson of the Morris County Chapter of the American Assoc. of University Women. She also volunteered at Morristown Memorial Hospital where she had over 1,000 hours of service. Mrs Sisson was a Member of the Mendham Golf and Tennis Club for over 30 years. Her family and friends will fondly remember her as Midge. Survivors include her husband of 55 years Mr Elwood E. Sisson of Mendham and one son Edward F. Sisson of Convent Station and his companion Ms. Berangere Barateig (BB) . She is also survived by her 2 grandsons Matthew Cassidy Sisson and John Barrett Sisson both of Convent Station, NJ. Visitation will be held on Monday Dec. 28, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Mass Tuesday at 10:30am at St. Joseph Church, Mendham.
