Obituary of Helen E. Hyde

Helen E. Hyde died on Nov. 12, 2009 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. She was 94. Born in New York, NY she lived in Belleville, Mendham and Clearwater Fl, before moving to Chatham in 2003. Ms. Hyde received a Jr. Engineering Degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree from Upsala College. She worked with her father at his Surety Bonds Firm, Elmer S. Hyde Inc., in New York City before retiring. Ms. Hyde also worked in the War Department during WWII. Her family will remember her as an avid reader who loved to travel. She took many trips in the US and abroad. She was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Her father Elmer S. Hyde and her mother Jessie B. Hyde, her brother James I. Hyde and sister Judith S. Boyd died previously. Survivors include one brother Arthuir W. Hyde, three sisters Margo Plenge, Audrey H Thompson and Beth Whittemore. And many nieces and nephews. A family funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30am at the Long Valley Presbyterian Church, Barltey Rd. Long Valley. Interment Mendham Hilltop Cemetery.
