David Elwood Jeffery III
David Elwood Jeffery lll of Burleson TX, "The Harptender", passed away suddenly Thursday August 3, 2017. He was 58.
Born in Mt. Kisco NY, he attended Masconomet Regional High School, Topsfield, MA & Hobart College.
A local legend, Dave was an accomplished Blues Musician and bartender, most famously at JJs Blues Bar and played with the greats, J. Giles, James Cotton, Muddy Waters, golfing legends Payne Stewart & Peter Jacobsen-The Flounders. He was beloved by all.
He is survived by two sons; Adam Lee Jeffery and Samuel David Jeffery of Burleson TX, his Mother, Sarah Penhallow Jeffery of Mendham, NJ, three sisters: Katheryn Hamilton, husband Eugene and son Daniel of Munich Germany; Marion "Marnie" Hock , husband Michael, sons Jameson & Charles of Mendham, NJ, and Susan Fine , husband Matthew, son Robert and daughter Lena of Montclair, NJ. He is survived by cousins, an aunt and many friends.
His Father, David Elwood Jeffery Jr. predeceased him in 2001.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, August 11th at Unity Fort Worth, 5051 Trail Lake Drive at 3:00pm. A Musician Jam Fundraiser is being organized at Keys Lounge Fort Worth from 2-5 pm Sunday August 13th to benefit his children. Further details will be posted on his Facebook page.
