William Charles Olm passed away peacefully in his home, with his family by his side, on July 13, 2026, at the age of 85.

Born in New York, NY, to Henry Charles and Constance (Huff) Olm, William grew up in Astoria, NY, lived in Queens, NY, and later made his home in Dingmans Ferry, PA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1964. This strong sense of pride was evidenced by his love of American flags and Bald Eagle memorabilia.  He was a proud lifelong member of Local Union 094, serving as an HVAC Operating Engineer.

Bill  was an extraordinary man, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His love for his family was the center of everything he did and the foundation of the life he built. He worked tirelessly, often seven days a week, to provide for those he loved, and he did so with strength, dedication, and unwavering commitment. In his spare time, he painted murals and loved fishing with his son.

Bill had five children and treasured each and every one of them. He endured the loss of his precious baby girl and his beloved grandson. While his family grieves these losses deeply, they find comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with them, along with his parents and siblings, surrounded by those he loved. He took immense pride in the family he built, showing through his unconditional love for his adopted first child that fatherhood is defined not by biology, but by unwavering love, devotion, and presence. In later years, he took great comfort in seeing his daughters marry honorable men who loved and respected them.

Bill was his family’s rock, guide, and the quiet strength behind so much of their lives. He paved the way for their futures and careers, and he showed them what it truly means to love wholeheartedly, to give without hesitation, and to put family first no matter what. The lessons he taught his family, the values he lived by, and the love he gave so freely will stay with his family forever.

Bills greatest wish was to remain in his home and pass peacefully there. His family is forever grateful that they were able to honor that wish. In his final moments, they held his hand, told him how deeply he was loved, and reminded him it was okay to let go that his daughter, grandson, parents, and brothers were waiting to welcome him home.

Although their hearts are broken, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is finally at rest and reunited with those he loved so dearly. He will be missed beyond words, remembered always, and loved forever.

William is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Eileen Olm; his daughter Holly and husband Brad Blaine of Long Valley, NJ; his daughter Heather and husband Ed Horn of Dingmans Ferry, PA; his son Chad Olm of Dingmans Ferry, PA; his son Brett and wife Li Li Olm of Eldred, NY, and son-in-law Bob Pedersen of Hawley, PA; and his grandchildren Zoe Olm, Noah Olm, Ethan Olm, Kayla Pedersen, Emma Pedersen, Kelsey Heller, Logan Olm, Maraya Olm, Dominic Shima, Jayden Olm; and his great grandson Greyson Hernandez.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Constance, his siblings, his beloved daughter Tammy Pedersen, and his grandson Hunter Pedersen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in William’s memory may be made to the American Eagle Foundation due to his love of eagles or to a charity of your choice that helps those in need, reflecting his compassionate soul.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date and shared with family and friends once arrangements have been finalized.
