Schluter, Pamela Ann (nee Borst) age 54 passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026 at her home in Gladstone, NJ.  Pamela was born at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ on April 25, 1971.  When she was one year old, her family moved to Lake Worth, FL where she spent her childhood in the warm sunshine, on Lake Osborne in Lantana, and at the beach. In 1984, her family moved back to NJ where she has resided in Midland Park, Hawthorne, and for the last 24 years in the Gladstone area.

Pam graduated Suma Cum Laude at Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ where she earned a degree in Marketing even spending a semester in Seville, Spain.  Pam held various positions over her career including working for Motorola designing cell phones, setting up internet connections which often took her outside of the US, marketing Brother office products, working at Affinity Federal Credit Union, and most recently for Synchrony Bank in their credit card department.  Her ability to combine creativity and leadership on projects helped her to stand out and achieve success in each of the positions she held.

Pam’s creative vision was also evident in the life she and her husband Thorsten built at their home in Gladstone.  Her ability to transform a house into a warm and inviting space where family and friends were eager to gather together for any reason is evident in her interior design and in the landscaping of their beautiful property.  Her loveliness and generosity attracted many who were the recipients of her giving and caring nature.

Being a force to be reckoned with, Pamela’s strong spirit, abiding Christian faith, and the ability to make things happen will be forever missed by those who knew and loved her best.

Surviving is her loving husband of 24 years, Thorsten Schluter, her devoted daughter, Claudia, her brother Jeff and his wife Heidi of Franklin Lakes, NJ, her sister Lisa and her husband Neil of North Haledon, NJ, Carsten and his wife Jodi of New Milford, NJ, and Tina of Banbeuren, Germany, her nieces Robyn and her husband Andrew, Kacey and her husband Lane, Erika and her husband Billy, Lisa and Gabriella, her nephews Jeffrey and his wife Ali, Jared, Aidan, Christian, and Florian, Grandniece Sophia, and Grandnephews Nathan, Boaz and Jacob.  She is predeceased by her mother Sheryl Faye Borst (nee Dykhouse) and her father Hugo John Borst, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 10 AM to 1 PM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 182 Main Street, Gladstone.
