Obituary of Linda K. Friedman

Linda K. Friedman passed away suddenly after a brief illness on March 1, 2026 at Morristown Medical Center.  She was 83.

Born in the Bronx, she was raised in Mamaroneck, NY before moving to New York City.  She also lived in Massachusetts while her husband served in the military.  They spent time in Brooklyn and Morristown before moving to Mendham in 1984.

Linda was a 1963 graduate of Alfred University in New York State.

Her family will remember her as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, reading, puzzles and traveling around the world with her husband. But her favorite pastime was attending milestone events for her five grandchildren, Charlotte, 19, Harper, 19, Sadie, 17, Lochlyn, 17 and Grady, 13. 

Linda is survived by her beloved husband Dr. Jonathan M. Friedman, brother Steven Kaiser of New York City, her daughters Emily Stamaris (Erick) of Kingston, MA and Caroline Craig (Jason) of New York City and Sag Harbor, New York.  Linda was predeceased by her son David. 

Linda had volunteered in the annual Mansion In May fundraiser for the Morristown Medical Center Foundation.

The family will receive family and friends on Thursday March 5th at 11am at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. The funeral service will be at 12 noon in the funeral home with the Rabbi Inna Serebro-Litvak officiating.  Interment will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Mendham.  

The family will sit shiva at the family home immediately following interment.
