Obituary of Diane P Smith
The daughter of Guido and Maryann Preziosi, Diane P. Smith of Mendham Borough, New Jersey was born and raised in Morristown, New Jersey. Diane passed peacefully at her home on December 9th, 2025. She attended Bailey Ellard High School, and subsequently earned her degree in Nursing. She worked as a Nurse, Case-Care Manager, and Supervisor in several local hospitals and medical facilities. She always put patient care in the forefront as she worked with diligence, kindness, knowledge, and care.
Diane’s interest in Art and Antiques lead her to open several successful antique shops. Her shop at 1 Hilltop Road in Mendham was very popular and was featured in the Star-Ledger Newspaper and other publications. She sold antiques, art, Persian carpets, designer clothes, jewelry, and unusual and hard to find collectibles. With knowledge and confidence, she started Diane Smith Estate Sales & Appraisals, LLC. She conducted hundreds of successful estate sales, helping countless people with appraisals, estate liquidations, home cleanouts, and preparing the homes of her clients for sale. With these ventures, she developed many enduring friendships.
The absolute highlight and joy of Diane’s life came with the birth of her son Zachary Robert in 1995. The bond and love they shared from that moment on is everlasting.
Diane touched the lives of many with grace, generosity, and love. Diane’s life cannot be put into words. During her life on Earth, she was always joyful, happy, and most importantly an amazingly loving wife and mother. She loved her family, helping the underserved, her pets, flowers, animals, music, dancing, painting, cooking, fishing, the beach, children, and all that life had to offer. Because of her efforts in life of always “doing unto others as she would have them do unto her” and because of her kind loving spirit, by always doing her best at all times, she has left the World a better place.
Diane is survived by her husband Randall, her son Zachary Robert, and many true friends and relatives.
