Born in South Orange, NJ, to parents Ernest A. and Ruth W. Anderson, Andy lived in Chatham  before moving to Mendham, where he was a resident for 31 years. He was active in his faith community, served as a Trustee of Chatham Fish and Game Club, was a member of Bay Head Yacht Club and belonged to Mendham Golf & Tennis Club.  He loved spending time in Ocean Grove as a child with his family, and continued the tradition with his children, spending summers in Bay Head.

(Susan Peluso) Anderson of Basking Ridge, daughter Megan (Andrew) Fletcher of Basking Ridge, sister Barbara A. (Andrew) Leach, and six grandchildren; Lindsey, Paige, Jill, Chris, Melissa and Blake.
