Obituary of Diane Susan Zawila

Diane Susan Zawila, 63, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, to Ludwig F. and Helen R. Zawila, Diane lived in Union, NJ, before moving to Somerset, NJ, in 2001, where she resided at the Matheny School and Hospital Group Home.

Diane was a beautiful, loving, and special person to her family, friends, and everyone who knew her.

Diane was the loving daughter of the late Helen (Rakita) Zawila and the late Ludwig F. Zawila. She is survived by her sister Janice and her husband George Cordi, as well as many other friends and family members who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, from 2-5pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main Street, Peapack NJ. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory may be made to the Matheny School and Hospital.
