Obituary of Patricia Anne Charron

Patricia Anne Charron, a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away from a short illness on July 13, 2025, at the age of 81.

She was born in Morristown, New Jersey, to John and Theresa (Catizone) Krozser, and graduated from Bayley-Ellard High School in Madison, NJ. In 1970, shortly after the birth of her second child, she moved to Mendham, where she would raise her family and build a life rooted in care, creativity, and resilience. Years later, Patricia fulfilled a lifelong dream by relocating to Maui, Hawaii, where she spent ten joyful and fulfilling years before returning to Mendham in 2015 to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

Patricia worked for many years as a talented florist, bringing beauty into the lives of others with her artfully arranged bouquets and deep appreciation for nature’s elegance. Her work touched countless lives throughout Morris County, and her eye for detail and color was unmatched.

A woman of many passions, Patricia found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending summers with her family on Cape Cod and in Nantucket, where laughter, food, and cherished memories were abundant. A devoted “Grandma,” she poured endless love into her grandchildren, embracing every moment with them as a gift. She was also a crossword puzzle enthusiast, a wonderful home cook, and a loyal viewer of Lifetime and Hallmark channel movies, always finding comfort in heartfelt stories.

Patricia is predeceased by her beloved son, Doug Ferrara, and her former husband, Thomas Ferrara. She is survived by her sons, Paul (Sarah) Ferrara and Brian (Kellie) Ferrara; and her adored grandchildren, Halle, Sophia, and Thomas. Her family was the heart of her world, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 1st, at 10:00 AM for a 10:30 AM funeral service at Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham. A brief inurnment ceremony will follow at Hilltop Cemetery, also in Mendham.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patricia’s memory to the Mendham First Aid Rescue Squad, an organization that supports the community she loved.
