Jean A. Burroughs died peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at home in Mendham Twp. She was 88. Born on September 16, 1922 in Warren, Ohio, she lived in West Virginia, Washington State, Maine and Ohio before moving to Mendham Twp. in 1962. She was a homemaker. She also worked at AT&T in West Virginia for several years. Her family will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, playing bridge and golfing with friends. She is predeceased by her husband Earl, in 2008, her brother Hugh and sister Ruth. Survivors include her daughters, Sue Stubbs of Pacific, MO, Nancy Burroughs of Warrenton, VA and Beth Smith of Brookside. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held, Wednesday November 17th at 11:00 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham. Interment will follow at Mendham Hilltop Cemetery.
