Obituary of Ronald DeMeo

Ronald D. DeMeo passed away peacefully on Oct. 19, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 67. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Woodside NY and Denville NJ before moving to Mendham Twp. in 1993. Ron received his Bachelor’s Degree from Fordham University in 1970 and his MBA from St. John’s University in 1972. He was the President of RC DeMeo LLC, a Sales and Marketing Consulting Firm, that he started in 2006. Prior to forming his own LLC, Ron was a founding partner of Marrieta Corp, a contract packaging and manufacturing company he spent 24 years building. He was a member of the Mendham Township Board of Adjustment and Merit Badge Counselor for the Boy Scouts of America. He was an active member of the Chester-Mendham Republican Club and the Mendham Twp Republican County Committee. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father and grandfather who was a mentor to many. He was happiest spending time with his beloved family and enjoyed time outdoors. In addition, he was an avid World War II history buff with a special passion for the aircraft of the era. His interest in aircraft was demonstrated through his vast personal collection of model airplanes. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Theresa DeMeo and his two brothers Andre and Julius. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Janet Lewandowski DeMeo, two sons Michael DeMeo and his wife Luz and their daughter Sophia of Guilford, CT and Christopher of Astoria Queens. Visitation will be held on Friday Oct. 21, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-9pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Mass Saturday 10am at St. Joseph Church, Mendham. Interment St, Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in his memory. www.baileyfuneral.com
