Obituary of Bathsheba Anderson Veghte

Bathsheba Anderson Veghte Bathsheba (Bash) Anderson Veghte of Bernardsville, NJ, Siasconset, MA and Vero Beach, FL died peacefully Saturday, May 30 following a short illness. She was 81. Born in Millville, NJ to James and Ada Anderson she was one of five sisters. She attended The Oldfields School in Glencoe, MD then Hollins College. She loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener; she was past president of the Garden Club of Somerset Hills as well as an active member of the Garden Club of Nantucket. She served on the Board of Trustees of Far Hills Country Day School and the Siasconset Casino Association. Bash was predeceased by her husband Robert Debow Veghte Jr and her longtime companion Bud Vervaet. She is survived by her three children Robert (Bob) I. Veghte of Wilmington, DE, Bathsheba (Sheba) Veghte of Mill Valley, CA, and Maria Veghte of San Diego, CA. She was the beloved grandmother of Robert (Rox) Veghte of Wilmington, DE and Olivia, Minna and Sarah Fingerhood of Mill Valley, CA. A service honoring her life will be held on Thursday, June 4th at 11 o'clock at Saint John on the Mountain, 379 Mt. Harmony Road, Bernardsville, NJ. A memorial service will also be held in Siasconset, MA during the summer.
