Robert Bruce Barr, “Bruce” passed away on Jan. 4, 2 018 at Holly Manor in Mendham. He was 78.
Born in Omaha, NE he lived in Naperville, IL before moving to Mendham in 1979.
He graduated from Naperville High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. He was active in the Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
He received his B.S. Degree from Purdue University in 1961 and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1963.
Bruce was an international business executive, a consultant and an Academician. He worked for AT& T for many years before starting a consulting firm. He was invited to teach at the Grenoble Graduate School of Management in France along with many other graduate programs.
He served in the Army from 1964-1966.
He was an avid skier and photographer. He also enjoyed fishing, archeology and genealogy.
His family will remember him as a loving husband father and brother.
He is survived by his wife Annie Bourgeois of Mendham, Robert John Stuart Barr and his wife Rose Cammarata of Glenview, IL, one daughter Laura Jean Callahan of Moorpark, Ca and his brother John William Barr of Greenwich, CT and his wife Penny. He is also survived by his grandchildren Zoe and Grace Callahan and Isabella and C.J. Barr, two nephews; Nathan and Christian Barr and one niece Jenny Barr.
The family will receive friends on Saturday Jan. 13, 2018 from 12 noon until 3pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd. Mendham. A celebration of Life Service will be held at 3pm in the funeral home.
