Louise Stryker passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2018. She was 98.
Born in Morristown to Joseph and Lulu Jones she lived in Morristown most of her life.
Louise was a graduate of Morristown High School and attended Montclair State University. An avid reader of English Literature, one of her favorite authors was Jane Austen. She also had a life-long love for opera, art, and gardening, which she imparted to her children. Louise never missed an opportunity to travel throughout Europe and the Middle East.
While focusing on her family, she also worked for the Girl scouts of America for several years.
Her family will remember her as independent, determined, and with a great spirit. She followed politics closely and was a member of the Democratic Party all of her adult life.
Her husband Paul C. Stryker, and her son Gregory Charles Stryker predeceased her.
Her son Lawrence Stryker and his wife Deborah of Mendham, NJ, and her daughter Joanne Stryker and her husband, Theodore Weller of Rhode Island survive her. She is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family held a private service.
